Hotel Surfers Plaza Resort (Surfers Paradise, Australia)

Guests loved the spacious rooms at this hotel and commented that the decor was also thoughtfully put together and very modern. Guests also remarked that the views that they enjoyed from their rooms were beautiful.

The reception staff at the hotel were singled out across a number of reviews for their efficent, friendly and helpful service. It seems the reception staff would go above and beyond their duties to make sure that their guests had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is close to Cavill Avenue with its multitude of shops, restaurants and bars and guests who stayed here said that the proximity to the entertainment hub at Surfers Paradise as well as the beach was the favourite part of their stay.

Guests who had the unfortunate timing to stay at the hotel during the annual Schoolies migration to the Gold Coast have warned future guests that the hotel is over-run by partying school leavers at certain times of the year, and to avoid the hotel if they want piece and quiet.

Guests who stayed more than a few days were disappointed that there was no daily cleaning service and that this service was only provided on a rotational basis.  Guests also complained that there were no fresh towels and that the kitchen utensils needed a good scrub.

Guests commented that the air conditioning units had seen better days and were very rusted. Guests also felt that the bathrooms were very old and dated and could use renovation to make them more modern.
