Hotel The Island Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise, Australia)

The location of the hotel is why many people booked it and it did not disappoint with many reviewers commenting that being so close to the beach and the action on Cavill Avenue was by far the hotels' best feature.

Guests were very happy about the price paid for the hotel rooms with many describing that they got value for money due to its location and the size of the apartments.

The hotels age for some was a god send as the rooms are huge with plenty of space to store luggage and move around the bed and furniture.  Guests also liked having an afternoon beverage on the balcony, people watching the hoards of tourists as they marched towards the beach.

Most reviewers had something to say about the old and basic hotel rooms at the hotel that had not received a make over for a very, very long time.  Many previous guests were specific that the water heading system and air conditioning needed urgent replacement.

Guests thought that the hotel was in urgent need of repairs with those who stayed here describing very damaged furniture and amenities as standard in and around the hotel. Guests were frustrated that nothing worked as it should from appliances to lights and left less than positve reviews about their expereince.

The is no free Wi-Fi at the hotel and for many previous visitors this was the only thing that held them back from giving the hotel a positive rating.  There is also no free parking availble and guests complained that parking in the centre or Surfers Paradise or at the hotel was expensive.
