Near the Market Town of Buxton, is Hargate Hall; a property built in 1899 as a Gentleman's residence, now divided into twelve self-catering apartments. Many have open fireplaces with coal, fire lighters and matches provided. The hotel is set amongst seven-acres of park land, including a lawn for croquet, football and cricket and, inside, there are communal areas with seating and well-stocked book shelves. There is also a kids play area. The nearest supermarket is six-minutes from Hargate Hall and there are traditional Village pubs and two chip shops in Tideswell, a seven-minute drive away.
