Everything comes together nicely at Gaslamp Plaza Suites. The rooms are comfortable, and the beds are cozy and plush for a lovely sleep. positive:
Wonderful staff who welcome you like family
Upon check-in, and throughout your stay, you're made to feel like family by the entire staff. They're genuinely welcoming, and always ready to assist with venue reservations, directions, and helpful information about things to do in the city.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking and Wi-Fi charges are expensive add-ons
The extra charges aren't appreciated much, especially since the room rates are already mid-range. If you can get by without a car, you may be better off not bringing it. As for Wi-Fi, be aware that it's either a daily or a weekly rate, or you'll just have to rely on it elsewhere.
negative:
Some rooms are much smaller than expected
The smaller sized rooms are indeed quite small, so much so that it's a strong let-down at check-in. Make sure to read the descriptions thoroughly, and ask questions beforehand, if still in doubt.
negative:
Lower level floors pick up all of the street noise
With the hotel being located right within a busy neighborhood, traffic and street noise easily filters in. The upper level rooms are quieter, so if you're sensitive to noise, request one of these.
