Positive Reviews
positive:
Good quality rooms
Although not all of the rooms here seem to have benefitted from any recent refurbishment (as some have done), guests are generally of the opinion that you can look forward to good quality rooms that are both clean and comfortable. The beds are of a good standard and the Wi-Fi appears to work well.
positive:
Friendly and helpful service
Previous guests have found themselves in receipt of a warm welcome here. The staff is consistently described as friendly and attentive and has been happy to help guests carry luggage. Those guests who dined at the hotel found the restaurant staff jovial.
positive:
Great breakfast
Breakfast here very rarely disappoints. Guests have been pleased with the quality of both the hot and cold food and find the choice of items available on the buffet is above average. Plus, there is ample to go around so it's unlikely that you will find that any of the choices have been depleted.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Some reports of noise
While many guests have found the rooms here quiet, those who were allocated a room overlooking the car park comment that there is a pub that backs onto this facility. This pub can get quite rowdy so some unwanted noise is possible.
negative:
Bathrooms could be improved
Bathrooms attract similar feedback from guests - in that not all of them have been modernised. Guests have noted problems such as poor lighting and a lack of shelving space.
negative:
Snack menu may disappoint
Dining here is generally a positive experience. There are occasional disappointments, of course, but overall the food and service are good. Of the negative feedback that does crop up, much of it concerns the snacks menu. Guests find it limited and occasionally feel that the food could be of a better standard.
