The hotel is only a ten minutes of driving from the Seawall and the Gulf of Mexico, with plenty of restaurants, shops and attractions like Moody Gardens, the Opera House and the Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Guests noted that they were welcomed with a smile and that the staff was always professional and friendly. They found the employees to be quite knowledgeable of the area, since they were able to give helpful advice on local restaurants, shops and attractions.

According to several guests, those rooms facing the back of the property present a less than picturesque views of a recycling facility.

The hotel only provides weekly housekeeping and does not replenish soaps or toilet paper. Some guests also noted that they observed bugs and dirt in their rooms, and the windows, doors and the elevator could use a thorough cleaning.
