Positive Reviews
positive:
Warm, family-oriented environment.
The hotel owners work hard to maintain a cosy and traditionally Greek environment all around the hotel. They also offer their guests personalised service such as organizing a taxi to take you around the island, advice on the best sites and restaurants in the area and are generally as accommodating as possible to each guest.
positive:
Dining choices are varied and within easy reach.
Each room or studio is provided with a fridge and a kettle and a supermarket is within walking distance as are many local restaurants and ‘tavernas’. On site there is a buffet breakfast available daily and drinks and snacks at the snack bar by the pool thereafter. You therefore have the freedom to eat and drink in or out of the hotel.
positive:
Free and secure self-parking.
Should you have a private vehicle at your disposal during your stay at the Best Hotel, you can rest assured that a space in the hotel’s private parking area is always available free of charge.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Fairly cramped rooms.
Depending on the specific unit you get, some can be a bit small for some tastes, particularly in the bathrooms. They are all however airy, comfortable and furnished in the minimal Greek style.
negative:
Can be pricey to get around the island.
Aside from the many nearby eateries as well as the beach which are all within walking distance, often guests of the hotel will need to drive or take public transport to the surrounding centres and sites e.g. the Caldera, Thira central, etc. The airport and port where the ferries are boarded are about a twenty minute drive away as well (by taxi). Depending on how much you wish to move around, this may all add up to be expensive.
negative:
Overall a great choice for a break.
Generally, the Best Hotel is peaceful, well-appointed and conveniently located while still being away from the crowds of tourists at any time of the year.
