Oakwood Hotel and Apartments Brisbane (Brisbane, Australia)

Staff were described by reviewers as being very welcoming, professional and extremely friendly. It seems the staff here put the needs of their guests first to make sure that they have an excellent stay.

The hotel is located mid way between Fortitude Valley and Brisbane city in the popular riverside precinct and guests liked that the hotel was very handy to shops, restaurants, bars and trendy cafes and wine bars.

The hotel is adjacent to the Story Bridge overlooking the Brisbane river and for many guests the spectacular bridge and city views were highlight of their stay. Guests did recommend to future visitors to request a river view room to take advantage of the awesome vistas.

Guests commented that the bathrooms could use a spot of cleaning to remove mould, some maintenance to fix leaky taps and renovation to give them a much needed modern facelift.

Guests were a bit miffed after being told that they could park on-site only to find that there was either no parking available, as it was on a first come-first serve basis.  Guests also complained that after their car had been parked by the valet at night it could not be retrieved until the next morning.

Guests who did not sleep well and who were frustrated by the lack of sleep complained that the beds were uncomfortable and not to their taste and left less than positve comments about thier experience at the hotel.
