Positive Reviews
positive:
Relaxing, quiet holiday spot.
With its location a leisurely five-minute walk from the stunning Cala Marçal Beach; with crystal-clear waters- safe for swimming, many find Ola Cecilia the ideal spot for a relaxing break. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and bars in the vicinity too, so nothing is too much effort.
positive:
Great selection at mealtimes.
Many guests are highly complimentary about the food on offer in the hotel's restaurant; with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes and desserts available. The weekly Spanish evening is a favourite but, with kitchenettes in every apartment, you can always opt to self cater if you wish.
positive:
Get what you pay for.
The hotel is a budget option, but most find that the basic, yet clean, accommodation offers everything they need. There is plenty of space in each apartment, towels and bed linen are changed regularly and air conditioning works well.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Those with mobility issues, beware.
If you have mobility issues, you'll want to discuss your options with the hotel before you book. Some apartments are situated on the second floor and have no lift access. You should also be aware that there is a steep staircase down to the restaurant.
negative:
Long airport transfers possible.
Previous guests would recommend hiring a car or booking a private transfer to reach the hotel, as some have experienced coach transfers lasting almost three-hours; likely not the start to the holiday you are hoping for.
negative:
Little niggles.
There are several other small issues that, while they won't detract from the enjoyment of your stay, may cause irritation during your break. Given its basement location, the restaurant is fairly dark, the pool is deep throughout and ants are a perpetual problem (as they are in large swathes of Mallorca).
