Negative Reviews
negative:
Unreliable Weather.
Although obviously the weather is beyond the control of the hotel, those seeking a warm, sunny holiday should take note that it is located far north and the weather is mixed. This can lead to spectacular storms, overcast skies and rain, or on rare occasions sunshine. However, in all but the worst of weather the beach and waves are popular with surfers.
negative:
A Little Dated.
For many the hotel’s age and interiors add to its many charms. However a small minority were disappointed to find creaking stairs and wear and tear on the exterior from the Atlantic winds.
negative:
Food a Pricey and Noisy Weekends.
Some found the food rather on the high side for what was on offer. Many local families drink in the surfer’s bar and also dine in the hotel at weekends. This can lead to a lot of unsupervised children running around and making a lot of noise, which can disturb hotel guests’ dining experience.
