Hotel Roma Room occupied a colourful townhouse in a north-eastern neighbourhood of the Italian capital close to the University of Rome. Guests liked the way they were a short walk from bus stops and the nearest metro station on line B at Policlinico. It was conveniently a short metro ride away from Rome's main public transport hub of Termini as well as top attractions like the Spanish Steps and Coliseum. Furthermore, there were several dining options in the surrounding blocks and the area was fairly quiet compared with the hustle and bustle of the heart of the city centre.

Many guests said the rooms at this economy hotel brightly decorated with lots of paintings were basic but more than sufficiently clean and comfortable for a city break. Travellers also welcomed the en suite bathrooms. The normally affordable room rates appealed to those on a tighter budget.

Many guests said the continental breakfast was a simple but convenient bonus. However, some diners felt the choice of food was rather limited. The coffee also underwhelmed several guests, who said it was poor by Italian standards.

The free Wi-Fi was welcomed by reviewers. However, some were disappointed by patchy coverage or sluggish speeds in certain parts of the hotel.
