Guests who dined at the restaurant said that they were very pleased with their experience stating that the food was well prepared and made using fresh local ingredients. Menus were described as extensive and guests were also complimentary about the quality of the freshly cooked breakfasts.

The hotel is surrounded by private gardens which provide a very tranquil and picturesque backdrop. Guests appreciated the quiet countryside atmosphere as well as the very scenic views of the river and the surrounding countryside. During the warmer months, many enjoyed sitting out in the beer garden or testing their skills at golf and cricket.

Clean and spacious rooms.
The rooms have been described as clean and well presented with an overall pleasing decor. Guests were complimentary about the size of the rooms stating that they had plenty of storage space and even comfortable arm chairs from which they could enjoy watching television.

Old fashioned bathrooms.
Guests described the bathrooms as quite dated with dull coloured suites and very basic fixtures and fittings. Many had the impression that the en- suites have not been refurbished for a good few decades and that they are now in desperate need of modernisation.

Those who used the on-site pool said that the changing rooms looked rather grubby and that they lacked privacy. Guests said that the changing facilities were rather cramped and many objected to the lack of lockers where they could stow away their belongings.

The Wi-Fi signal was said to be almost non-existent in the rooms hence many who wanted to connect to the internet had to take their devices near to the reception area where the signal was said to be better.
