Within easy reach of Gatwick Airport.
The hotel is located only a short distance away from Gatwick Airport, so it is easy enough to get between the two locations. The hotel is also conveniently placed for getting to from Crawley, making it possible to get there on public transport if you want to save on a taxi fare.
positive:
Set in a charming old building.
Unlike most hotels in the area around Gatwick Airport which are modern builds, this hotel is housed partly in a charming 14th Century manor house called Gatwick Manor. This has come as a pleasant surprise to guests.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Can get noisy on an evening.
Hotels serving airports are often busy places, and this Premier Inn Gatwick Airport South is no exception. In fact some guests have said it is so busy that the noise from guests coming and going has kept them awake into the small hours, unfortunately.
negative:
Hotel said to be tricky to find.
Some guests say they have had a problem finding the hotel, and reckon it needs to be better signposted so that it is easier to spot, especially on a dark night.
negative:
Dining area in an another building.
The restaurant area is based in a building next to the hotel itself, and some guests have found this a problem. Partly it is because they have had to go outside to eat and drink, which is no good if it is cold or raining, and secondly the staff are reported to not be as friendly as the Premier Inn staff.
