Positive Reviews
positive:
Walk to Amsterdam's attractions, nice calm spot.
Parklane is apparently just a short walk away from the centre of Amsterdam, meaning that all of the attractions of the canal-ring can be reached on foot, and a few guests even opted to rent bicycles from the hotel. The reportedly calm area features a small zoo, the gardens of Hortus Botanicus and a range of nice restaurants and cafes a few minutes away on foot, and the trams running nearby are said to make the rest of the city's highlights very accessible.
positive:
Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms.
The rooms here were mentioned as being simple, but spacious — a rarity for Amsterdam — with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, a good standard of cleanliness, an electric jug and a safe.
positive:
Knowledgeable staff, free Dutch breakfast.
The staff here was said to be friendly, professional and very helpful when it came to things like local recommendations and bookings. Guests said they were made to feel very much at home and also appreciated the typical, tasty Dutch breakfasts that were offered, which included continental fare like cheeses and breads, even if a few people would have liked a richer offering including cooked options.
