Positive Reviews
positive:
Quaint and spacious.
Although a quaint hotel, Clovenfords Country Inn promises spacious rooms, that are well maintained throughout ones stay. Guests will be able to expect the service of a grand hotel, but receive the attention small lodgings offer. The best of both!
positive:
First class service.
When dining at The Vineyard, guests will not be disappointed. The wait staff attend to every need and order placed, and do their best to see to any fussy eaters' requests. Special dietary requirements are easily met, and deliciously so!
positive:
Quite despite the traffic.
The hotel is located next to a very busy traffic roundabout, and guests may fear that their sleep may be disturbed by early morning traffic. Luckily, The Clovenfords Country Inn is set far back enough, and the rooms are soundproofed correctly, offering guests undisturbed sleep.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Slightly dated.
To keep in with the modern times, guests have found that Clovenfords Country House could use a little updating in the décor department, which is, in fact, coming up soon. Nevertheless, the rooms are well looked after, and guests will find everything in order, and quite comfortable.
negative:
Rooms above bar get some noise.
As with any local pub and restaurant, locals tend to linger over the weekends, and really celebrate their days off from work. Unfortunately for those guests placed in the rooms above the bar, they tend to hear some of the noise, and my find their nights sleep disturbed.
negative:
Limited menu options.
While guests like a bit a variety, the menu at the hotel restaurant has a select few of their best sellers, and guests who dint find anything to their liking may find that they are left dissatisfied with the choice they are eventually forced to make.
