For those arriving by car there is very quick and easy access to the motorway though the hotel is situated down a quiet, leafy avenue. The Metro station is at the end of the road and this gives easy access into Manchester city centre with its fantastic shops, restaurants and bars.

The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile. Nothing is too much trouble and any requests are dealt with smoothly and efficiently.

The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and the bed is very comfortable leading to a good night’s sleep. Many rooms overlook the well maintained gardens which can also be accessed via the conservatory.

There have been reports that some rooms, and in particular the en suites are very small, though adequate for a short stay. Guests with mobility issues will need to request a ground floor room and as some rooms are quite far from reception they will want to ask for one close by. There are quite a lot of steps around the property which could make it difficult for guests in a wheelchair or parents with prams.

The rooms are looking a little dated, both in terms of the furnishings and also the televisions. This is also the case in the superior room which wasn’t a more luxurious room but just a bigger version of a standard room.

There have been reports that some noise can be heard from the corridor, including doors slamming. Guests have not felt that there is a particular issue with sound proofing, more that it is down to a handful of inconsiderate guests.
