Hotel Villas Salinas de Matagorda (Puerto del Carmen, Spain)

These villas go well beyond the typical with their large eat in kitchens which are fully equipped and their bedrooms that allow enough space to feel as if you are at home.

The pool and veranda areas receive top marks from everyone who stays there. Sparkling pools are meticulously maintained as are all of the beautifully landscaped areas around the hotel.

This hotel is within walking distance of so many activities, restaurants, and entertainment that you will definitely want to extend your stay. The beach is a two minute walk, the supermarket is five minutes away, and within ten minutes you can be dining at some of the best eateries in the area.

If you have issues with walking up steeper inclines, then the walk to and from the beach might be a bit difficult. Many older guests found the walk from the shore to their rooms to be difficult as there isn't a walkway.

The Villas are lovely, but if you want to take an early morning swim in the pool, it is not heated.

Unless you've made contact with Carolina, who only works until 1pm, you will not be able to get into your room if you arrive after that time. Just get the code for the front door ahead of time, and this can be avoided.
