positive:
Rooms are super.
Rooms are in the new wing. All have an impressively large balcony and views to the garden and pool. Beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is impressive. Whether working in Lisbon, or visiting the region on a leisure trip, you'll look forward to returning to your room here.
positive:
A great chapter in The Lisbon Story.
In addition to some unusual features, including the hotel library, the railway station is only yards away. From there, it's easy to access Lisbon itself and many glorious beaches. This location is perfect..
positive:
Staff members are nice.
Reception folk are particularly pleasant and friendly, but it's a trend that continues, to varying degrees, throughout the hotel.

Tips for a bit of peace and quiet
If, in the evening, you want some ‘me' time with no-one else around … try the bar and then the restaurant! Quiet as the grave, even when the hotel is full.
negative:
Time to lighten-and tighten- up.
Breakfast is great! Dinner isn't up to much. There are some weird sounding dishes and - strangely for Portugal - no fresh fish. The bar has little appeal. These areas are unappealing and the bar, in particular, is dour and badly lit. Parking needs re-appraising. On top of the hotel tariff, paying over the odds for on-site parking is a big ‘no-no'. Cleaning isn't 5 star either, with previous occupants' hair still hanging around in the bathroom.
negative:
Not up to scratch.
In this ‘luxury' environment, there shouldn't be s shortage of sunbeds in the pool area. The beach is 10 minutes walk away but it's not brilliant. You need transport to get to a good one.
