Negative Reviews
negative:
Holiday in' hell.
Described as being 'similar to a Holiday Inn', this is specifically not the case! Inefficient and unsympathetic staff on the front desk form the overture to a number of acts which descend into tragedy and heated moments. For instance, rather than co-operating in order to solve a problem, their solution is to suggest that you leave! The heating is operated from the front office which is blisteringly hot. Consequently, the rooms become a Hell's inferno. On the 'plus' side, bugs and insects aren't in evidence .. probably can't stand the heat!
negative:
No sound insulation.
It seems a fairly minor complaint, given the other problems experienced here, but there's no sound insulation between the rooms. Not only can you hear neighbors opening cans, but, some time later, you can hear the aftermath too!
negative:
When wee problems become huge.
Rooms smell of 'weed', weed without the 'd' (!)... and an over accumulation of long standing grime. There are characters hanging around who obviously don't stay here and constant comings and goings that result in noise and more than a little concern. Doors are broken and curtains - such as they are - don't meet. The lights don't work and there's no remote control for the TV. Towels give a very good impression of already having been used and bed linen has cigarette holes (*in a non-smoking room!). Apart from these issues ... everything's fine!
