Positive Reviews
positive:
A high-end hotel
A few visitors noted that this was once an Intercontinental property and though it has changed ownership, it's lost none of its class. By all accounts, this is still very much a high-end hotel and its well-appointed, comfortable rooms, thoughtful amenities and professional staff only add to the atmosphere.
positive:
Service with a smile
Staff here appear to be unfailingly courteous and polite. Should a problem occur during your stay, it seems that they will make every effort to correct and resolve issues as quickly and as professionally as possible. If that wasn't enough, many guests noted that the smiles of the staff here are genuine and natural. This only added to the overall ambience of the hotel.
positive:
Great location
Close to both of Houston's airports, near the Interstate, great for the Galleria and handy for downtown shops and restaurants, it seems that this hotel is perfectly located for all that the city has to offer.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Pricey parking
The parking arrangements - more specifically, the price - drew a number of complaints here. Though this is a luxurious hotel, for many, the fees were just too steep.
negative:
Odd bathrooms
This hotel has recently undergone major renovations and many seem to love the sleek, minimal styling and spacious rooms. However, a number of guests commented on the odd layout of the bathrooms here, with quite a few visitors saying that they simply felt too small in comparison to the rooms themselves.
negative:
Breakfast not up to scratch
While many guests sang the praises of this hotel's dining options, breakfast appeared to be a problem here. There seem to be issues with quality, with some noting that food was not made fresh to order, as would be expected in a hotel of this caliber.
