Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean and comfy.
Rooms are larger than expected and they are clean and nicely furnished. Very comfortable. The same applies to the beds. Don’t worry if your room is near the elevator; it’s very quiet, so you’re unlikely to hear anything. The location is good, too, just off Interstate 287-87.
positive:
Good breakfast.
The free breakfast is good quality and well presented. The breakfast room, though, can get very busy and overcrowded.
positive:
Just the business.
Rooms are well equipped and seem to be designed with the business traveler in mind. They take it a stage further here with a free shuttle to a number of local companies including IBM, PepsiCo, Siemens and Pace and Fordham Universities. A good service that can only serve to reduce guests' travel-related stress and tension.
Negative Reviews
negative:
'Down' ... and out!
They seem to have a problem catering for allergy problems. Despite assurances that there are no feathers in the room, don’t be surprised to find that pillows are stuffed with … down. Don’t be surprised, either, to find that your first or second floor room is, in fact, 'down' below ground floor level. *For daylight, book a room on the third floor or higher.
negative:
Catering deficiencies.
They’ve got a bar … but try finding someone to serve you; virtually impossible! Stuff on sale at the on-site convenience store is of the cheap ‘kiddy snack’ variety; no good for adults wanting something at the end/start of a busy day.
negative:
Maintenance and customer service issues.
Not all the room lights work and the battery in the TV remote is – flat! Other things go wrong so they allocate another room for you … but offer no assistance in transferring your luggage. They (*and you) should bear in mind that the Sheraton is only next door!
