About SBH Maxorata Resort
SBH Maxorata Resort is on the south west tip of Fuerteventura, the 2nd largest of the Canary Islands.
There are 3 star apartments and 4 star hotel rooms at SBH Jandia Resort. Rooms are en-suite with telephone, kitchenette, satellite colour TV and hairdryer and they have either a terrace or balcony. They are cleaned 5 days of the week and bedding and towels are changed every few days.
Facilities include 24 hour reception, currency exchange, car rental, medical cover, 3 outdoor swimming pools, sun terrace, fitness and games rooms, tennis, volleyball, bicycle rental and regular evening entertainment.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served buffet style and liquid refreshments, wines and beers, are served in the pool, snack and salon bars.
The island has some of the most impressive beaches in Europe and being on the same latitude as Mexico and Florida, there is an equable, year round climate.

Definitely not a ‘last resort’.
The resort of Jandia is delightful but travelling a little further brings you to Corralejo. The harbour to the north has ferries to Islote de Lobos; truly idyllic.and then there's La Lajita, where Ocean Park and the animal reserve are situated. Giraffes, elephants, zebras etc; are all waiting here for you to feed them! Not just Jandia, but this area of the island has loads of things to keep you occupied. Remember, ‘J’ is pronounced ‘H’ ... so it couldn’t be ‘jandier’ to get to!

Nice quality hotel.
The hotel is fine. Rooms are a bit dated but you are rarely in them. Food is plentiful and varied and with 3 pools there’s space for everyone ... until about 10am when the late night revellers get out of bed! Just be aware, there is an emphasis on German which extends to languages spoken and menus. Sometimes the English language doesn’t cut the mustard here.

Helpful staff.
Reception staff are great and very helpful and those who work like Trojans to keep the kids occupied can only be admired for an abundance of enthusiasm, energy and talent.
