Positive Reviews
positive:
Perfect for transport hubs.
Santa Chiara & Residenza Parisi is fantastic for those who want to be close to the bus terminal for airport transfers, or for taxis, St. Lucia Station, vaporetto water buses and the cruise dock. A few guests also said it was not too far from the central Venice attractions, whether by water bus or foot.
positive:
Exceptionally helpful staff, decent breakfast.
The staff members have been described as exceptionally helpful and welcoming, providing an easy check-in and good advice on the city. Likewise the breakfasts were generally well appreciated for their plentiful spread of continental fare and decent coffee.
positive:
Clean, quiet and roomy.
Guests generally found the rooms to be clean, quiet and spacious for Venice, although some of those overlooking the Grand Canal experienced a little bit of background noise. A few also expressed enjoyment in the old building’s period feel.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Worth it for the price? A few issues.
A small number of those who stayed were unhappy with the price they paid, citing factors like small and dark bathrooms, and a few occasions where hot water was lacking and the air conditioning was not working well. The Wi-Fi is also only accessible from the lobby, something which disappointed many of those who stayed.
negative:
In need of updating, but….
A few guests thought Santa Chiara & Residenza Parisi was showing its age and was in need of updating, and it appears this may be happening, with a few guests mentioning renovations going on in mid-2015.
negative:
Annex is a walk away.
The annex was thought to be about 100 metres away from the hotel itself, which proved to be a slight annoyance to some.
