The Vatican Museums is less than five minutes away on foot from the guest house. With modern décor and marble floors, the air conditioned rooms at the Romantic Vatican Rooms Guesthouse all feature a 32” flat-screen television, DVD player, refrigerator, safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Each accommodation also comes equipped with an en-suite bathroom. Free Wi-Fi access is supplied throughout the property. The guest house also provides an airport pick-up service if requested, while baggage storage is available. A comprehensive self-service breakfast is served each morning and is inclusive with all stays at the guest house. St. Peter’s Basilica is a little over five minutes away from the guest house on foot. Castel Sant’Angelo is a 15-minute walk.
This was without a doubt the aspect that most impressed guests about the B&B. Both the entrance to the Vatican Museums, and St Peter's Square, are just short walks away. Guests loved the great convenience of being so close to these since it helped them get a head-start on the crowds that usually inundate this area.
Several guests mentioned that the hosts and staff were a credit to the B&B. They were said to be friendly and also very helpful and useful when it came to offering recommendations.
A couple of guests said that they felt the breakfast was pretty good for an Italian B&B, where breakfast is perhaps not often considered the most important meal of the day. In any event, they found that it had decent variety and enough food to set them up for the day.
Firstly, it must be stated that, while there were not many reviews in total, almost all of those that could be found were positive. One small thing that was mentioned was that the hotel is on a very busy road, and that the noise from the cars zooming by may disturb light sleepers at night.
While not a general complaint, it seems that at least one room at the B&B is on the small side, making guests allocated this room feel like they were a bit crammed in.
