About Riad du Petit Prince
The Riad du Petit Prince is a beautiful and peaceful haven within the hullabaloo of Marakech's busy medina.
Guests can rent the whole riad or choose to rent out a room or suite. All the rooms are air-conditioned and decorated in an elegant and traditional Moroccan style.
The Riad du Petit Prince, like all typical riads, has a lovely sun-terrace and is based around a calming inner patio, with the relaxing trickling of a fountain. To enhance to this blissful ambiance, and to cool down after a day in the souks, the patio also features an idyllic, tiled plunge pool. Massages with essential oils can be organised too to boost the feeling of bien-être.
The riad offers traditional Moroccan dishes on request.
Just within the city walls and between the Jemaa El-Fna and the new town of Gueliz, the hotel is a short walk from the picturesque Jardins Marjorelle.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Cosy ambiance
Guests love the ambiance of this typical riad. The feeling of calm, in comparison to the madness of the medina, is enhanced by traditional decor and features. Relaxing on the tranquil interior patio with its citrus fruit tree, swimming pool and sounds of birds chirping is a favourite for guests.
positive:
Friendly staff
The staff add to the welcoming atmosphere. Helpful, yet discrete, they are always available and friendly. The host even doubles up into an exceptional guide!

Traditional rooms
Guests appreciate the cosy and authentic feeling of the bedrooms. The beds, in particular are very comfortable and spacious.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Location is a bit far out
Although in the medina, some guests feel it is a bit far from the Jemaa El-Fna. Although following the walls around is easy, it can take 20 minutes by foot to get there, if you're not brave enough to take on the intricate alleyways of the medina. The poverty and odours of the surroundings can also be difficult for some guests too.
negative:
Premiums charged
Whilst booking a transfer, dinner or excursion directly with the hotel saves a lot of hassle, some guests feel the hotel is taking a nice margin. Streetwise guests realise that the same services can be found locally for a lot less. Some even feel cheated. However, a lot of guests would recommend taking up the airport transfer at least on arrival so you are sure to find the hotel!
negative:
Dark rooms
The dimly lit rooms add to the sense of mystique and authenticity for a lot of guests. However, not being able to find your way around is not very desirable for certain guests.
