Taxis are expensive to take from the airport, so make sure you have done your research on how to arrive at the hotel. Once there, of course, you’ll find that the process of getting into the Milan town centre alone is a nightmare consisting of at least a walk and a bus and you’ll also need a bus or tram to get to the nearest tube station. While it may be a convenient location for patients and visitors, situated next to the San Raffaele Hospital, this also means that there is a sparse selection of shops and eateries in the vicinity.

The few choices for dining in the vicinity make it most convenient to eat at the hotel, where unhappy guests are grumbling that they find the prices quite inflated. In fact, some guests are finding the hospital canteen to be quite a reasonable alternative.
