Negative Reviews
negative:
Divided over value for money.
Geneva is an expensive city in an expensive country and Swiss quality doesn’t come cheap. Accordingly, rooms at this premium hotel aren’t cheap, which prompted mixed opinions from visitors over value for money. Some said five-star hotels they had experienced before outshone this one; others thought their stay was worth every cent because of the peaceful lakeside location and superior views not matched by other top hotels in town. One repeated criticism from reviewers was the eye-watering prices for extra services, drinks and breakfast.
negative:
Not so soundproof.
Few reviewers seemed to have their sleep disturbed by street noise because of soundproofing in the rooms. However, some did report being able to hear noise from neighboring rooms, corridors and nearby lifts.
negative:
Harsh critics found flaws.
While the vast majority of guests were very pleased with this hotel, a few reviewers were underwhelmed. They claimed to encounter issues unbefitting of a luxury hotel such as check-in delays during busy periods, occasional sub-optimal cleaning or exchanges with aloof staff.
