Negative Reviews
negative:
Bathrooms could be improved
Although guests tend to find the rooms at the Owl are clean and comfy, the bathrooms do not always fare so well in feedback. Guests found that the bathrooms were quite poorly maintained, with loose shower heads and broken rails among the reported issues.
negative:
Some noise issues
Previous guests have mentioned that they were able to hear noise from the bar and the function room and also from nearby rooms, particularly those above their own. Very few guests found the problem excessive but earplugs may be a good idea for light sleepers.
negative:
Could do with renovations
Several guests point out that while the Owl Hotel is generally clean and comfortable, the property is starting to show its age and actually looks quite tatty in places. Some refurbishment would improve matters significantly.
