Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly faces and good value...
Guests often describe the staff as very friendly and helpful, with many providing examples of "above and beyond" gestures of kindness or hospitality. Many travellers also feel the hotel offers great value for money, especially in comparison with its competition closer to the city centre.
positive:
Olympic medals for the rooms...
Guests generally find the rooms to just "as expected" for a three-star Mercure: very clean, comfortable, and well decorated, with decent free wi-fi. However, many are also charmed by the subtle Olympic theme in the rooms, each of which feature a different bit of memorabilia such as cuff links with logos, pennants, or posters.
positive:
Not too far from the action...
Guests can walk to the BMW Museum in about 30 minutes through the famous Olympic Park, and many choose the hotel as a base for seeing these sights or visiting the nearby corporate offices. However, the city centre is only 20 minutes away by tram, and there are also several bars, restaurants, bakeries, and a supermarket nearby.
Negative Reviews
negative:
You have to take the stairs...
The elevator stops one short of the very top floor, so it is necessary for guests staying on the fourth floor need to climb one flight of stairs. Once there, they note the ceilings are sloped and the air conditioning seems to work less reliably on this level, also.
negative:
A tight fit for singles...
Guests in rooms with a single, twin bed often describe them as very small (or cozy, depending on the reviewer's disposition!), though even travellers who like to look on the bright side admit the bathrooms are not very spacious.
negative:
Pricey breakfast and no dinner...
Though those who try it generally enjoy it, the breakfast is considered a bit pricey and there is no full restaurant on site.
