Negative Reviews
negative:
Steep and narrow stairs.
In typical Amsterdam fashion, this guesthouse has no elevator, and instead you will have to negotiate flights of steep and narrow stairs — not suitable for the mobility impaired and those travelling with lots of luggage.
negative:
Extra cleaning fee catches many out, cleanliness.
Maggy’s charges a hefty cleaning fee additional to room rates, which many guests found to be misleading, and despite this the rooms and linen do not appear to be the cleanest.
negative:
Rooms dark, expensive, hard to find.
Some guests found the guesthouse poorly signposted and hard to find, and considered the rooms gloomy and expensive for what they were, especially with the cleaning fee and tourist tax on top.
