Positive Reviews
positive:
Decent central location
While the hotel is not right on the beach, this fact did not seem to concern any guests. They described the beach as a very short walk, away, and no trouble at all to reach. Also, they mentioned that there were some good bars and restaurants in the area around the hotel.
positive:
Very nice breakfast
Though it was described as a fairly typical continental buffet, many guests reported that it was particularly good. Presentation was said to be excellent, and taste and variety weren't too shabby either.
positive:
Excellent staff
It was pretty much impossible to find a bad word written about the staff. Guests described them as very welcoming and friendly, but more than this they were also said to offer great local intel and recommendations.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very poor soundproofing
This, unfortunately, was a fairly common complaint. Guests did not really complain about external noise, so much as noise from within the building. The walls between rooms were said to do very little to prevent sound from exiting one room and travelling at will to the adjacent rooms.
negative:
In room tea/coffee facilities strangely absent
Several guests really missed not being able to make themselves a quick cuppa when the mood struck. While tea and coffee was available downstairs, not too many of the other guests would have appreciated seeing a dishevelled and pyjama clad guest, just risen, walking about looking for a hot beverage.
negative:
Very poor Wi-Fi
It was near impossible to find a good word written about the Wi-Fi. On the contrary, many guests say it was unreliable, leading to a great deal of frustration. Those with an urgent need for connectivity might consider activating data roaming.
