This may well be the main reason guests booked at this guest house. It was described as incredibly close to Hounslow Tube Station, so guests could just hop on the tube and be at any of the Heathrow terminals in no time at all. In many ways, it was said to be more convenient than many of the airport hotels, since no shuttle bus was required.
Given how crowded London is, even in the outer boroughs, many guests were pleased to report that there was ample off-street parking at the guest house. There were no reports of guests struggling to find a place when returning from their travels.
For reasons that weren't fully explained, it seems many guests were not expecting much when it came to the breakfast at Lampton Guest House. In fact, they were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast, saying it was a substantial spread of both cooked and continental options. It seemed to really set them up for the day.
It was pointed out that there really weren't many public facilities at the guest house, not even a guest lounge for socialising and meeting others. This was sorely missed by some.
While not a universal complaint, there were too many guests complaining that their room was not very clean on check-in to ignore. It seems there may indeed be a problem with cleanliness standards.
As expected, several guests mentioned that there was quite a lot of noise from the jets overhead. It seems that Lampton does not have the solid triple glazing that many hotels right by the airport have installed to help keep noise out.
