Positive Reviews
positive:
An appealing location.
Split is where it's all happening and it can be frenetic with the hordes of fun-seeking holiday makers. You can easily join in all that but, equally, it's just as easy to withdraw and relax in the hotel's more tranquil environment. It is this location that draws many visitors to return year after year.
positive:
A good breakfast.
Breakfast is surprisingly good and sets you up for the day ahead. Supplies are ‘unlimited'!
positive:
OK staff and rooms.
The people on the front desk are particularly focused on customer care but, in fact, it is a philosophy that is to be found in all departments of the hotel's operation. There's a shortage of power points but the Wi-Fi works well. So, too, does the air conditioning which can be controlled in the room.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Old but in working order.
Everything seems dated and of a bygone age, but strangely, it all seems to work quite well.
negative:
Now … about ‘that' pool
It looked so attractive in the publicity shots and the reality of the view from your room is equally inviting. Unfortunately, the pool doesn't belong to the hotel and cannot be used by guests. A disappointment, but it's not really ‘mis-selling' - because the pool is a significant feature of the views from the hotel. The pool, though, is not without a noise problem.
negative:
Opinions may be 'Split' - but It's like a hostel
Beds are very hard, day to day cleaning is ‘hit and miss' and they forget entirely about replacing toiletries. The shower is a danger zone and is scalding hot. All in all, it's very basic with few, if any frills.
