Positive Reviews
positive:
Value for money.
With comfortable beds, clean, modern décor, free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout, great air conditioning and tea and coffee facilities provided (a rarity in Paris), most find Orchidée offers exceptional value for money in an otherwise expensive City.
positive:
Excellent access to local transport.
The hotel is just a short hop from both metro stations- with both Montparnasse Bienvenue and Pernety stations an easy walk away, the Montparnasse Train Station a six-minute walk away and close to restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. There is plenty nearby and easy access to everything else.
positive:
Authentic Parisian feel.
You will likely love the hotel's location; within easy reach of the top attractions in the City but in a quiet spot with an authentic Parisian feel. Cafes and boulangeries nearby are frequented by locals and the flea markets and food markets that are a weekly event also prove popular.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Compact rooms.
As with many hotels in Paris, guest rooms are not the biggest. However, most guests find the rooms are only a place to lay their heads and don't find this a major issue.
negative:
Expensive breakfast.
You do have the option of including breakfast within your room rate, although most decide against it. The price is high and options at the continental buffet are fairly slim, so many choose to try several of the local cafes instead.
negative:
Lacking parking on-site.
Utilising public transport is by far the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to get around Paris, however, if you are bringing your car you should be aware that there is no parking on-site, so you will have to make use of the nearby public parking and pay the exorbitant fees associated with doing so.
