Positive Reviews
positive:
Delicious breakfast
Guests loved the extensive breakfast served every morning, which not only includes the usual staples such as bread, cold cuts, cheese, jams and fresh fruit but also traditional French specialties like crêpes, madeleine and brioche.
positive:
Helpful staff
Guests noted that the staff was very friendly and helpful, with the front-desk personnel receiving special praise for their proactive and professional behavior. They noted that the staff was always more than ready to answer questions such as explaining in detail how to navigate the metro.
positive:
Great location
The hotel is within walking distance of a metro stop, so travel throughout the city is simple but outside of the busy areas. Guests also liked the fact that there are stores, restaurants, bakeries, and a butcher near the hotel.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Small rooms
Guests found the standard rooms to be quite small with only enough room for two people and one suitcase. Only the superior rooms come with a wardrobe but are still rather compact, which makes the hotel good for a business trip or sightseeing, where you'll only be in the rooms at night.
negative:
Unusual elevator
Some guests didn't care for the fact that the elevator was not only very small but only stopped at every other landing, which means that you might have to carry your luggage one flight up or down the stairs to get to your room.
negative:
Strict key policy
Several guests complained about the hotel's policy to drop off your key with the front desk staff every time you leave the premises. Some considered that to be a somewhat unsafe policy, since you have to mention your room number to get your key back, others just found it to be a hassle.
