Positive Reviews
positive:

positive:
Top notch accommodation.
Guests had no complaints about their rooms. Staying overnight here was a pleasure, with several guests describing accommodation as both luxurious and cosy. Everything had been carefully thought of, from the luxury toiletries, to the premium mattress, as well as tea and coffee making facilities and an iPhone docking station.
positive:
A warm welcome.
Many guests commented on the warm atmosphere at Horsley Lodge. The hotel exuded a friendly and casual vibe, and front desk staff seemed to be doing their best to provide a favourable experience for visitors.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Mixed food reviews.
While guests liked that food was unique yet unpretentious, a number of diners took issue with their meals. Afternoon tea was often hit and miss, and several reported disappointing dinners. It seems that after a management changeover, there are a few kinks to work out.
negative:
Subpar restaurant service.
Inexperienced staff detracted from guests' dining experience, and many thought that restaurant servers needed more training. While hotel staff were found to be personable, guests couldn't always say the same thing about restaurant personnel.
negative:
Technology concerns.
Horsley Lodge seems to have a lot going for it, but they may need to improve their Internet service, according to frustrated guests who had problems accessing the free Wi-Fi. Cell phone service was also a headache for a few.
