Negative Reviews
negative:
Beds might need an upgrade.
Older mattresses were described as lumpy, sagging, or uncomfortable by a few staying here. The majority of overnight guests seemed to have a good sleep, but some would have liked to see a more comfortable bed.
negative:
You'll have to take the stairs.
A few guests weren't prepared to climb the stairs, and would have liked a lift for their luggage. This historical building has retained many of its original features, and while brought up to today's standards, there simply isn't room for a lift.
negative:
A few issues.
On rare occasion, some guests found noise from on-site celebrations to be obtrusive. The good news, though, is that there is an annex at the back of the hotel for guests concerned that this could be a problem. Another potential issue for some, is the shortage of space in certain rooms, with guests wishing for extra storage and a desk in tight fitting quarters.
