Hôtel Belle Meunière (Nice, France)

The big plus of this hotel for many of its guests is its proximity to the railway station. You are just a couple of minutes walk from it - handy if you're travelling by train. If you're coming by car, you will also be pleased to find that the hotel offers private parking spaces to avoid you having to find a place on the narrow streets around. Guests also feel that the location is ideal for exploring the old town and is a nice stroll away from the beach.

Guests seeking a budget hostel are surprised to find that they are staying in such a charming old building. It is packed with personality and the lovely courtyard is great for meeting other guests and chilling out.

Guests find the staff and the owner to be extremely friendly and helpful. They are always accommodating and looking to be of service.

Despite the continual best efforts of the owner to install multiple Wi-Fi networks, guests still have problems accessing the Internet. Certain rooms seem to have bad to nonexistent reception and other guests find it patchy at best.

A lot of guests find the rooms to be on the small side and complain of having little to no storage space or wardrobes. Those staying in the dormitories often say the rooms are pretty cramped too.

The dormitories in particularly seem to get quite hot without the luxury of air-conditioning or even a fan - especially in the searing heat of the summer. This is even more unbearable when you are crammed into a tight space with strangers and have to put up with secondary consequences such as unpleasant sweaty odours!
