About Glow
Set in the very heart of Eindhoven, Glow is a trendy design hotel showcasing both design and artistic talents, and providing chic accommodation to those looking for something just a little different.
The rooms have that minimalist, modern feel, but with flashes of colour. Each features air conditioning, minibar, large flat screen TV, phone, hairdryer, in-room safe and tea/coffee station.
Reception is open limited hours, and can assist with tours, transfers and laundry. There is a small lounge near reception with free tea and coffee, and a very chic roof terrace with views over the rooftops.
A basic breakfast is available at nearby Meneer De Boer Café, but there are plenty of other options in the area for all meals. Reception will be happy to offer dining recommendations.
The central location means that many attractions and amenities are within close walking distance. The main train station is barely 800 yards away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Good décor and design
Guests in general seemed to like the décor of both their rooms and the public areas. It was described as interesting and unusual, but not so over the top that it simply looked ridiculous. Guests believe the designers got things just right.
positive:
Excellent central location
This was perhaps the most mentioned positive feature of Glow Hotel. Guests loved being so central, where everything they needed was just a short walk away, including restaurants, the train station and much, much more. It saved them the hassle of having to use public transport a great deal, and the expense of taxis.
positive:
Free tea and coffee
A surprising number of guests were very enthusiastic about the lounge where free tea and coffee was available throughout the day. While it may have been a small gesture, it was clearly one that went very far in the guest's book.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Hotel itself a bit too quiet at night
It was pointed out that the reception is not open 24 hours, and also that the room with the free tea and coffee was closed late night as well. This left some night birds feeling a bit left out, with no reception staff to chat to, or coffee to keep them awake.
negative:
Surrounding area a bit too noisy at night
If the inside was a bit too quiet, the guests with more regular sleeping patterns were dismayed that the environment outside the hotel was a bit too noisy, with revellers below disrupting their sleep till the early hours.
negative:
Rooms a bit small
While this didn't bother most, it seems that the standard rooms are indeed quiet small and some guests who liked their space wished they had just a little more.
