Hotel Days Inn by Wyndham Silver Spring (Silver Spring, USA)

This hotel gives great convenience for those who aren't afraid of walking. Downtown Silver Spring is a short walk, as is a bus station and metro station. From the metro, it's a short trip into Washington, DC, where the city's historic and cultural attractions are easily accessible..by more walking.

The rates are very affordable, especially considering the high prices in this busy metro hub. When free parking is taken into account, the prices looks even sweeter.

The rooms are basic, but comfortable. You'll rest easy knowing you didn't pay too much for the accommodations. Plus, there are some bonus features. The staff is both friendly and helpful, and the WiFi signal is strong throughout the common areas and guest rooms.

The hotel is not in the greatest neighborhood. There are a lot of transients in the area and many unsavory characters tend to hang out in the parking lot after dark. The hotel also has its share of guest with a rougher side and expect to hear a lot of noise from the neighbors.

Here, there is more than doesn't work than does. The rooms are used and beat up and the fixtures and features show the rough treatment. Carpets are stained; bathroom fixtures are missing; TV service is frustrating. There is also an odd smell throughout the hotel and roaches have taken up permanent residence.

Management rarely responds to or follows up with issues or complaints. Once you've paid your money, you're locked in for the night. Phone calls to upper management are also rarely answered and billing concerns infrequently addressed.
