The hotel is only one mile from the Walt Disney World resort's east entrance, making it perhaps the most convenient option for lodgings off of Disney property. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well, and the hotel is less than ten minutes from other major area attractions including Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, Wet 'n Wild, Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum and the SEA LIFE Aquarium.

Guests mentioned that the hotel staff were very pleasant attentive. Front desk staff were very friendly, and seemed to handle any issues which arose in a quick and professional manner.

The Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Vista Centre provides complimentary shuttle service to the Walt Disney World resort, a benefit of which most guests seem very happy to make use, as this saves on the cost of parking at the theme parks, as well as the hassle of navigating the property. Remember to check the shuttle schedule though in order to be sure that this will not conflict with your schedule.

Some guests complained that the hotel was rather noisy. The in-room air conditioning seemed rather loud, and the sound of delivery trucks arriving and unloading, as well as the sound of traffic from the highway bothered some visitors.

The hotel may need a bit of an update according to guests' reviews. Such problems as worn carpeting and furnishings, as well as dated decor, were mentioned on multiple occasions.

Some visitors felt that the hotel charged extra for services which should have been provided. The hotel charges a nightly rate for onsite parking, and the hotel has a breakfast restaurant rather than offering a complimentary breakfast as some other hotels might.
