Hotel Bull Dorado Beach & SPA (Arguineguín, Spain)

Members of staff in all departments of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Staff here can't be faulted.

It's not a town really - more a village - and the centre is just 500m away. There's a beach in front of the hotel and the main (*better) one is only 300m away. Even when the hotel is full - as it often is! - there's no sense of overcrowding. You'll always find a place by the pool or in the restaurant. There's always a space for you …, even the small car park.

The food here is exceptionally good and alcoholic drinks are branded, so none of that watered down rubbish. An alternative to the hotel restaurant is the fresh, local fish dishes that are just waiting for you at Cofradia de Pescadores.  The hotel has a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The evening entertainment reflects this and is enjoyed by all nationalities.

Even in locations like this that are, frankly, idyllic ... there's still some cause for complaint. Depending on the location of your room, you could well be affected by noise from the hotel laundry, followed by the nightclub ‘revving' up and then, just as you are ‘dropping off', the early morning cleaning staff start clearing the empties.

The accumulation of dust is a dead giveaway to the fact that this room hasn't been properly cleaned … in yonks! This extends to glasses and cutlery in the kitchen and leads to a concern that all is not as it should be here.

Some rooms suffer from excessive noise coming from the neighbouring busy road. You have been warned!
