Positive Reviews
positive:
Cheap price
While guests didn't exactly say they thought they got good value, they did say that the room-rates here were much lower than they expected. Most found significant issues with the hotel, but felt it would be a good bet if you just needed a quick place to crash at a very low price.
positive:
Reception staff welcoming and friendly
While there were a few complaints as well, most guests seemed to enjoy interacting with the reception staff. On the whole, they were said to offer a warm welcome and posses a friendly attitude that was a credit to them and the hotel.
positive:
Remarkably quiet
Quite a number of guests were surprised by how quiet their room was. Despite being really close to the interstate, guests found that they could sleep relatively undisturbed at night.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Very poor housekeeping
This was by far what most seemed to irk guests. While some did compliment the housekeeping staff, by far the majority thought that they simply did not properly clean their rooms, either before checking-in or during the course of their stay.
negative:
Looks very run down
A very large number of guests mentioned that the hotel looked very run down to them. Both the exterior, and especially the interior, were said to have seen better days. While the staff seemed to try to make the best of the situation, guests felt the hotel would need to be fully renovated to remain competitive.
negative:
Pervasive smell of smoke
Even those in non-smoking rooms claimed that the hallways and other public areas smelled of smoke, due to people smoking there. While there were no complaints about the rooms themselves smelling of smoke, guests didn't like having to endure the smell of smoke throughout large parts of the building.
