Positive Reviews
positive:
Fabulous pool.
Swimming in the rooftop pool was a highlight for many guests. The large, infinity-style pool had guests thinking that they were actually staying in a nice hotel, rather than a hostel. Several visitors said that the pool was rarely busy, and many times they had it all to themselves.
positive:
Warm welcome.
Guests encountered friendly staff at Bansabai. While a few pointed out that staff lacked strong English skills, they seemed to make up for it with typical gracious Thai hospitality. Guests found that staff were willing to answer questions as accurately as possible, and were a good source of information about the area.
positive:
So much for so little.
Guests were blown away by the amenities they received for a comparably small price. If you book a private room, you might be particularly impressed with the amount of space and natural light.. From the hydroponic garden, to the rooftop climbing wall, guests felt like this hostel had enough special touches to warrant a return visit.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Might be a long taxi ride.
Some guests were disappointed with how far Bonsabai was from main attractions. Many lamented long drives full of traffic to prime destinations, and were frustrated with expensive taxi fees. A few had better luck with more affordable bus transportation, but concluded that they would have rather stayed closer to central Bangkok.
negative:
Inaccessible amenities.
From time to time, guests were unable to use facilities like the kitchen and swimming pool. This was an inconvenience for some, especially for those who booked the hostel because it had a pool. You might want to check that the pool will be up and running during your stay.
negative:
Air-conditioning issues.
A few guests had poorly performing air-conditioners, causing an uncomfortable stay. Leaky, loud, or completely broken air-conditioners were reported by guests staying at this hostel. On the bright side, problems were taken care of as efficiently as possible.
