The futuristic Allegro Barcelona hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Barcelona’s Eixample district, just around the corner from the Provença train station and about 600 metres away from Passeig de Gràcia, the Diagonal Metro station and Antonio Gaudí’s Casa Milà. Guests are also just two blocks from Rambla de Catalunya and 15 minutes from Placa Catalunya. Standard rooms boast LED lighting, super-modern decor, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a desk, minibar, an en-suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi, telephone and seating. Guests can take advantage of laundry and dry cleaning services, while parking spaces can be requested. Buffet breakfasts are served on site daily, while a wide array of tapas bars, cafes and bakeries can be reached in a short walk. Allegro Barcelona is about 15 minutes away from La Sagrada Familia using the Metro.
Guests at Room Mate Emma said they were located in a great spot for exploring Barcelona’s architecture and shopping on foot, with especially plenty to see around Passeig De Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya. People even said they were within walking distance of Placa Catalunya, La Sagrada Familia and Las Ramblas, while a range of public transport options nearby also made it easy to explore further through the city.
The staff here was thought to be friendly and attentive, offering help and local information around the clock, with an excellent standard of English to boot. There were also said to be decent breakfast buffets on offer here, including tasty local options like Spanish omelette and fresh fruit, although a few people thought the selection could have been even wider.
Those who stayed mentioned enjoying the walk-in showers and striking but attractive, futuristic decor in clean rooms with comfortable beds, which also had ceiling-mounted speakers and a minibar. Guests also appreciated being able to take Wi-Fi hotspots with them when they left the hotel to go exploring.
Room Mate Emma guests sometimes mentioned that they experienced street noise from the rooms at the front of the hotel, although those people worried about street noise can request a room towards the rear of the hotel. Furthermore, a few of those who stayed also thought that the walls were rather thin.
