About STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen
STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen is a hostel ship moored off Stockholm’s Skeppsholmen Island, where it looks across the water to the Gamla Stan Old Town and the Royal Palace. Built in 1888 in England, this ship features bunk bed cabins and a summer cafe, while a 19th-Century building on shore acts as the 24-hour reception, hosts further accommodation and has a guest kitchen.
The cabins’ showers and toilets are found in the corridor and most private and dormitory rooms share bathroom facilities.
Free Wi-Fi is available in common areas and guests can also make use of luggage storage facilities and a luggage room.
Breakfast buffets are served up every morning, a few Skeppsholmen restaurants are just a short walk away and further options are available downtown, less than ten minutes away.
STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen is less than half a mile from island attractions like Kastellet Stockholm, Eric Ericsonhallen, the Östasiatiska Museet or the Moderna Museet.

Wonderful Stockholm views, just off park island
The decks of this boat are said to have some the most wonderful views of the city, with guests happily describing their outlook over the old city, the islands of Stockholm and the Royal Palace. Moreover, the quiet, park-like island off which this boat is anchored is said to be lovely, not too huge of a walk from downtown Stockholm and also the home of a good number of museums and other cultural attractions.

I'm on a boat! And nevertheless good facilities
Guests were rather chuffed to simply have the experience of sleeping on a boat (and being able to brag about it to those back home) and the fact that they could also enjoy some sundown drinks on board was also appreciated. Nonetheless, the cabin facilities themselves were considered to be good — clean rooms with comfortable beds, spacious lockers and free Wi-Fi included — even if the hot water occasionally went out.

Helpful, friendly staff; Swedish buffet breakfast
Those who stayed said that the staff working at this nautical hostel were very helpful, friendly and apparently offered a full range of guest services back onshore. For one, people reported that they could opt in for a simple but tasty Swedish buffet breakfast.
