Welcome to Mrs Potts. A hostel designed for backpackers who want that warm and fuzzy feeling they get at home. Enclosed in a centrally located, beautiful grade ll listed building designed by Alfred Waterhouse! (Architect who designed the Natural History Museum in London).There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building and a beautiful kitchen where you can share your favourite recipes with your fellow travellers. On occasion, you will find our friendly members of staff cooking up a storm...They like to share, so don't be afraid to ask for a taste! We have a common room with a T.V and iMacs for you to browse the internet or catch up with what's happening at home. Free maps are available from reception and our staff will happily direct you to all the local places of interest, including some hidden gems. Every member of staff has their own personal favourites so get chatting to them!We are located centrally on St Mary Street which is just two minutes walk from Cardiff Central Railway Station. Cardiff Castle is a two minute walk away and the Victorian shopping arcades are on your doorstep. Sports fans will find the Principality Stadium just behind us on St Mary Street. We offer small dormitories with cabin style beds that include linen, privacy curtains, usb ports, mains power socket, large locker and your very own reading light! Terms and Information Check-in starts at 2pm. Check-out is at 10am. There is a minimum of a two night stay on weekends (Thursday-Friday, Friday-Saturday, Saturday-Sunday). A photographic drivers license or passport must be shown by all guests over the age of 18 in order to stay. Children are welcome at Mrs Potts but must be accompanied by adult with the required I.D and book out dormitories privately. A £5 cash key deposit is to be paid by each person upon check-in so please have this ready. If you check-out late or lose/break your key, the key deposit will not be refunded. Guests paying upon arrival cannot split the total over multiple cards. The whole amount of the remaining balance must be paid via one credit/debit card. Cancellations can only be made and confirmed via email only. We DO NOT allow stag/hen parties. Any stag/hen parties who book will be turned away but will still be charged. INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS OF UNDER 6 PEOPLE Cancellations must be made by 2pm, 48 hours before the day of your arrival; Cancellations after this time will be charged the full amount of the first nights stay. No-Shows are treated as late cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable or transferable. GROUPS BETWEEN 6-25 PEOPLE A 10 % deposit must be paid to secure your booking. Cancellations must be made by 2pm, 14 days before the day of your arrival; Cancellations after this time will be charged the full amount of the first nights stay. No-Shows are treated as late cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable or transferable. GROUPS OF 26 PEOPLE OR MORE A 25 % deposit must be paid to secure your booking. Cancellations must be made by 2pm, 28 days before the day of yourarrival;Cancellations after this time will be charged the full amount of the first nights stay.
