positive:
Polite and helpful manager/staff
While not everyone seems to have been able to play nicely with the staff here, most found the service was friendly and polite. It's a hands-off and let you get on with it type deal but the staff is available should you need anything.
positive:
Good value and great for groups
Guests tend to feel they have enjoyed value for money here. Luxuries are hard to come by but the accommodation is clean, comfy and comes at a reasonable rate. Those who stayed as part of a large group found significant savings here.

Could use some updates
Although guests tend to be reasonably complimentary about the standards here, a common observation is that the property is in need of some increased attention. A lick of fresh paint and some new mattresses are among the most frequent requests.
negative:
Cold in winter
Previous guests have made fairly frequent complaints relating to how cold the hostel is, particularly over the winter. Central heating doesn't appear to be readily available here so warm clothes may be a necessity.

Parking can be an issue
Although this probably won't bother the backpacking community, those guests who brought a car here often found the parking area tight and difficult to navigate. Also, don't be too surprised if you're asked to move your car quite frequently.
