As with any mechanism, sometimes the machine breaks. When the key card machine breaks, guests will find themselves having to be let into their rooms by staff members, until the machine is up and running, and able to produce them ith their own key card.

Due to staff shortages, housekeeping is only done once a week, and guests arriving after, and leaving before each clean may feel the cleanliness is left only at a par.
