The rooms are clean, comfortable and furnished in a homely style. The host is very attentive and will join you for a chat over drinks in the bar before you venture out for dinner.

Near the bus and railway stations and the city centre's attractions, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Manzil, Nawaabs, Hong Kong and Everest Inn, are among the restaurants that are easily walkable from the B&B.

Breakfast is substantial and appetizing. It fully reflects that fact that home and local produce is used and sets you up for what the day might have in store for you. There's plenty of other stuff to digest too. A thoughtfully prepared information pack answers any queries that you may have and there's no shortage of additional advice from the host as to where to go and what to do.

Rooms to the side of the property get the full blast of church music from the church next door.

Wi-Fi is patchy, particularly in the rooms. The car parking is limited and challenging. It is free though so perhaps it's unfair to whine about that. The back rooms are quieter and a boon for light sleepers. Rooms can be a bit on the small side and somewhat frill-free.

There are two downsides to breakfast. First, there could be a little more choice and second is the fact that, come what may, service finishes at 9.15! Very early, particularly at weekends.
